"$25 for 25 Years" Donation Drive - Bloomington is commemorating 25 years of friendship with Izumi, Japan.

2018 marks the 25th anniversary of both the sister city relationship between Bloomington and Izumi City and of the formation of the Bloomington Sister City Organization. To recognize this important milestone, we are promoting our fundraising efforts this year with a theme of “$25 for 25 Years.”

The BSCO sponsor exchanges, as well as participates in and sponsors local events in the community centered around the appreciation of Japanese culture that brings many communities together.

These are only a few examples of events we conduct and participate in each year.  However, we need your help to fund BSCO so that it can continue to be a viable and vibrant organization into the future! We are asking for contributions to help fund our programs and to keep BSCO thriving for another twenty-five years to come.  All donations, whether $25, $50, $250, or any amount are welcome, appreciated, and will make a difference. We are a 501(c)3 organization, so contributions to BSCO are also tax-deductible.

These contributions will ensure that the Bloomington Sister City Organization will continue to be a bridge that connects Bloomington and Izumi City.  You can either fill out and mail the form at the link below, or send a donation via paypal at BloomingtonSisterCity@gmail.com.

Mission of BSCO

As a Sister City Organization, our goal is “to promote mutual understanding through an exchange of people, information, and ideas”, which is just a fancy way to say we want to “grow together by learning about each other”

We accomplish this goal through a variety of cultural exchange events with our own sister city: Izumi City, Osaka Prefecture, Japan.

The video outlines BSCO's history, purpose and delegation experiences.
