Sister City Organization Presented “Taste of Japan” Dinner and Fundraiser
The Bloomington Sister City Organization (BSCO) held it's annual dinner and fundraiser, The Taste of Japan, Saturday, March 1, 2008.
The exciting evening included theatrical and musical entertainment featuring Mu Performing Arts, Mu Daiko sponsored by Larkin Hoffman Daly & Lindgren Ltd.; Champion Fancy Dancer Larry Yazzie, educational and vendor booths; a silent and live auction with many items including handmade Uchikake kimonos from Wind Whisper West Gallery; and an authentic Japanese dinner catered by Fuji Ya Restaurant.
This event was the major fundraiser of the year for the BSCO, which shares ties with Izumi City, Japan. Funds collected go towards BSCO activities, such as cultural awareness programs, community events such as Kite Day, Taste of Japan and delegation visits of representatives to and from Izumi City.
