BSCO board member Kodo Kawamura and his wife, Irene, were recently honored at the City of Bloomington Human Services Volunteer Recognition Lunch held December 13, 2010, at Creekside Community Center.

Mr. Kawamura is a founding member of BSCO. He served on the board when the organization was founded and returned years later to serve on the board again.

Mr. and Mrs. Kawamura traveled with Mayor Winstead’s delegation to Izumi City in October 2010. This was Mr. Kawamura’s third trip as a BSCO delegate.

The Kawamura’s donate countless hours to BCSCO activities. They welcome delegations to Bloomington, staff the BSCO booth at events and make generous financial donations to the organization. Mr. Kawamura is a skilled photographer who documents many BSCO events.

BSCO and the City of Bloomington thank the Kawamuras for their volunteerism.
